EU Directive on Gender Discrimination:
The Society differentiates by gender on rates in one of its income protection policies. It has used published tables from the Continuous Mortality Investigation Bureau of the actuarial profession. The appropriate actuary to the Society believes these tables (with adjustment for occupation) can be used for the business of the Society. The actuarial profession has published the differences in their experience for income protection by gender on its web site and this can be found here:
