About Us

The Railway Friendly Society was originally established in 1903 and has supported thousands of railway employees over the years. As a mutual organisation we are here to protect the financial interests of railway employees at all times. We put our members' interests first and are dedicated to providing a helpful, friendly and supportive service they can rely on.

As a national organisation, it is our intention to play a positive role in the on-going development of the industry by continuing to serve the railway community today, tomorrow and throughout the 21st Century. After all, as railway people ourselves, it is the industry we know and care about.

We are redesigning the range of financial products we can offer members. During February 2008 we have launched our Family Protection Plan. The plan provides support and protection exclusively for Rail workers and their families in times of illness, accident and bereavement.
